Our yard is situated beside the Coffee Day over in NS Palya, right in the BTM Layout area. It’s a bit of a contrast, having all this heavy cement work right next to a place where people go for expensive coffee. We spend our days mixing grit, sand, and cement to make various items. You’ll see concrete blocks, pots, and tiles drying out in the sun most afternoons. It’s heavy work that leaves your hands rough at the end of the day. We don't wear suits or sit in air-conditioned rooms. We are out there on the ground, making sure the molds are set right. The dust from the cement settles on everything, so we are always wiping down the counter. Traffic in BTM Layout can be a real headache, especially when we have to move the larger articles. We try to get the heavy loading done early in the morning before the roads get too packed. People from the neighborhood know us as the place with the stacks of grey blocks outside. We don't do much in the way of talking; we just show the products and let people decide. It’s a practical business, and we take pride in the fact that our stuff is solid. It isn't pretty work, but it’s necessary for building things that last. We’ve been here for a long time doing the same thing. The yard is messy, but the cement is strong.
