B.R.V. B.Ed College

If you head over to the Vishwaneedam Post area in Bangalore City, you’ll find us tucked away. This is where we run the B.Ed college, mostly helping people get their teaching degrees. The building has been here for a bit and it looks like a typical Bangalore structure. Inside, it’s mostly rows of benches and plenty of books lying around. We spend our mornings talking about lesson plans and how to manage a classroom. It isn’t a very loud place compared to the main city center, which is nice for the students who are trying to study for their practicals. There’s a lot of coming and going since people have different schedules throughout the week. We don’t have a massive campus with gardens or anything, but there’s enough room for everyone to sit and get their work done. The staff is usually busy in the main office near the entrance, sorting out fees or exam dates. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to wait it out, like everywhere else in the city. We’ve seen many batches of students pass through these doors over the years. Most of them come from the local neighborhoods around Bangalore. It’s a straightforward environment where the main goal is just finishing the syllabus and getting those teaching certificates signed. It feels like a small community once you’ve been here for a few months. It's just a place for people to learn.
