Bombay Textiles is our small shop located at 38/8 in Neelasandra. It’s a bit of a tucked-away corner of the city, but we’ve been here long enough that people know where to find us. The shop itself is quite modest. We don't have big neon signs or anything flashy. It’s just a place where we keep various kinds of textiles and fabrics. Most days are spent sitting behind the counter, waiting for regulars to drop by for a chat or to buy a few meters of material. We have a lot of different colors and textures, mostly things that people use for their daily clothes or small home projects. Neelasandra is a lively area with a lot of families, so we get to see the same faces quite often. The space inside is tight, especially with all the bundles of cloth stacked up against the walls. We don't have a big team or fancy equipment. It’s just us doing the measuring and cutting by hand. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit by the door where there is a bit more light. We don't really do any promotion. People usually just hear about us from their neighbors or see us when they are walking through the lane. It’s an honest, quiet way to run a business. We focus on the basics and try to keep things running smoothly day after day in our little spot on 38/8.
