Our office is on the second floor over on Lalbagh Road. If you are familiar with the area, we are right next to the MTR Hotel, which means it always smells like good food around lunchtime. It’s a bit of an old building, but it works for us. Getting up to the second floor keeps us moving, I suppose. Being on Lalbagh Road means there is always something happening outside. It’s one of those parts of the city that never really goes quiet. We’ve been set up here at No. 9 for a while now, just doing our daily business. Most of the time, the office is just full of the sound of keyboards and people talking on the phone. We aren’t a huge operation, just a regular group of people coming in every morning to handle what needs doing. Some days are slower than others, which is when we might take a longer break to go grab a coffee nearby. People find us easily enough because of the hotel landmark. The stairs can be a bit of a climb if you aren’t used to them, but we don’t mind. We keep our space simple and don’t really bother with any of that modern office decor you see in the newer parts of town. It’s just a practical place to work. We see a few visitors now and then, mostly folks who have some business to settle or papers to drop off for us to look at.
