Bharath Rubber Industries

Our place, Bharath Rubber Industries, is over at B-17 in Jalahalli. We are part of the Nutan Bharat Society and we’re quite close to Kuvempu Circle. It’s a bit of an older neighborhood, and we like the vibe here quite a lot. The workshop is where we spend most of our time during the week. There’s a distinct smell of rubber that you just get used to after a few days of working here. We make all sorts of rubber parts, and the machines we use are quite loud and heavy. It’s not a fancy setup at all. We have our tools, our materials, and a small area to sit down when we take a break. Usually, there’s some tea being passed around in the morning to get us started. Outside, the neighborhood is fairly quiet, except for the traffic near the circle. We’ve got some neighbors who have been here as long as we have. It’s a practical business for us. We don't have a website that’s updated every day or a big marketing team to tell our story. It’s just us working with the rubber and making sure the pieces are right. Some days it’s very hot in the workshop, especially in the summer months. We keep the doors open to get a bit of a breeze. It’s a simple way of life, and we’re happy to be doing it here in Jalahalli. Most people who come to see us are looking for something specific, and we just do our best to help.
