Bharath Forge Company Ltd

Down on Kamanahalli Main Road, you can find our shop at number 53/2. It is right near the St Thomans Town Post. Our shop, Bharath Forge Company Ltd, has been here for a lot of years now. It is a bit of a loud place because of all the metal work we do every day. You can hear the hammers from down the street if the wind is blowing the right way. The shop floor is always covered in iron shavings and dust, no matter how much we try to sweep it out. It is just the nature of forging metal. We handle a lot of heavy parts and sometimes the trucks for deliveries block the whole road for a few minutes. The neighbors are mostly used to it by now. My desk is tucked in a corner under a dim light and it is covered in old invoices and oily rags. We don't have any fancy signs or a big lobby for people to wait in. Most customers just stand by the entrance and watch the work happen. It gets very hot inside during the summer because of the furnaces. We drink a lot of water and take breaks under the tree outside when we can. It’s a simple business. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just show up, heat the metal, and finish the orders that come in. It is hard work but it keeps us busy and we like the routine of it all here.
