Basaveshwara College Of Commerce Arts & Science

Our college is located in the 2nd Block of Rajajinagar, which is a pretty busy part of Bengaluru. Being right near the ESI Hospital means there is always a lot of movement around here, with buses and autos constantly passing by. Basaveshwara College of Commerce Arts & Science has been in this spot for years. It’s a tallish building, and students are always hanging around the entrance or the nearby tea stalls during their breaks. Inside, it’s mostly just hallways and classrooms filled with wooden benches. The stairs are a bit narrow, so it gets crowded when classes change over. We have people coming from all over the city, taking the metro or the bus to get to the 560010 area. It’s not a quiet campus like those ones on the outskirts of town; you can always hear the city sounds. The staff here are just regular people, some have been teaching these subjects for decades. We don't have a huge green field, but there's enough space for the students to gather. It’s a practical place. Most of the kids are focused on finishing their degrees and finding work. You see them carrying their journals and textbooks, heading to the library or just sitting on the steps talking about exams. It feels very much like a part of the Rajajinagar neighborhood. We just keep things running as best as we can every semester without too much fuss.
