Bangalore Hospital

Jayanagar is a bit different from the rest of the city, and our hospital at 202 South Jayanagar feels like it belongs to the neighborhood. There are more trees around here, which is nice when you look out the windows. The building is solid and has seen a lot of patients over the years. Inside, it’s mostly white walls and tiled floors that the cleaning staff spends all day scrubbing. We have a lot of regular visitors from the nearby blocks who just walk over. The reception desk is usually the busiest spot, with phones ringing and people asking for directions to different rooms. It can get a bit hectic during the mid-morning rush. We have a small area outside where people sit when they need a bit of fresh air. The elevators are a bit slow, so most of us just take the stairs if we’re only going up a floor or two. It’s not a flashy place, but it does what it needs to do. You’ll see doctors chatting in the hallways and nurses rushing by with clipboards. At night, the halls get very quiet and the lights are dimmed. It’s a place where a lot of life happens every single day, without much fuss or fanfare. Some of the older staff members have been here for decades and know every corner of the place. It feels like a small village inside a big city.
