Balaji Tools International is right in the heart of S P Road. If you’ve been to Bangalore, you know S P Road is the place for everything electronic and mechanical. It is incredibly crowded, noisy, and full of energy. We are up on the 3rd floor at No.3. It’s a bit of a climb, especially when the stairs are narrow, but we’ve been doing it for years. The shop, or office really, is packed with tools and boxes. We don’t have much room for anything else. It’s a small space, but we make it work. Most of our time is spent talking to people who come in looking for specific parts or tools. We don’t do a lot of fancy marketing because on S P Road, your reputation is what matters. We just try to be helpful and get people what they need. The noise from the street below never really stops, but we don't mind it. It’s just part of being in this area. We have been at this address for a long time, and we know most of the other shop owners on the street. It’s a busy life, and we are usually on our feet most of the day. We don’t use corporate jargon or have big meetings. We just handle the customers and the stock. It’s a simple, honest way to earn a living in a very busy city. We just stay here and keep things going. There’s always someone stopping by with a question or a specific tool they need found.
