B. R. M. Machine Tools

Our workshop is at 5/1 in the Ambika Building, which is part of the Swathi Complex on 3rd Main in Jalahalli. It is a pretty industrial feeling area, which makes sense for what we do. There is always the sound of metal hitting metal or some machine humming in the background. My hands are usually a bit greasy by noon because there is always a tool that needs fixing or a part that needs to be moved. The Ambika Building itself is sturdy, but it shows its age. We have stacks of tools and heavy machinery parts everywhere. Sometimes it feels like a maze trying to get from the front desk to the back where the heavy work happens. Jalahalli is a decent place to work, though the traffic on 3rd Main can be a headache when we are trying to get a delivery out. We don't really have a lobby or anything like that. You just walk in and you are right there in the middle of the tools. It’s loud and it’s hot, especially in the summer months when the fans just move the warm air around. We spend a lot of time double-checking measurements and making sure the equipment is where it needs to be. It’s hard work, and we are usually pretty tired by the time we lock up the complex doors at night. That’s the daily life at B. R. M. Machine Tools.
