B G Centre

B G Centre is a small shop at number 7 inside Bangkok Plaza. We are on the 5th Main in Gandhi Nagar, right across the street from the Tribhuvan Theatre. If there is a big movie release, the whole street gets packed with fans and posters. It’s an exciting place to be. Our shop is quite compact. We have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling to make room for all the stock. It’s a bit of a maze inside. I’ve been working here for years and I still occasionally trip over a stool. Gandhi Nagar is the heart of the city for many, and being in Bangkok Plaza means we see a lot of different people every day. We aren't a big chain store. It’s just a local shop where we know where everything is kept, even if it looks a bit cluttered to an outsider. The lighting could be better, but it does the job for us. Most of our customers are folks who are already in the area for the movies or other shopping. We don't do much advertising. People just find us by walking through the plaza and looking in. It’s a simple life. We open up in the morning, talk to the other shop owners, and wait for the day to start. It’s a bit cramped but it is our space and we are used to the noise.
