We are located at number 9 in the Mariyappa Complex which is right in the Peenya industrial area. If you have ever been to Peenya you know it is all about manufacturing and hard work. Our shop is just one of many in the complex but we have our own little corner where we get things done. We deal with industrial work which means there is usually a lot of noise and the smell of oil and metal in the air. It’s not a clean or quiet place but it is where we feel at home. We have some machinery that we use all day long and the floor is always covered in scraps. It is just me and a couple of other guys working through the orders we get. We don’t have a fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. We just have our tools and our benches. People come to us because they need something made or fixed and they know we are usually around from early morning until the sun goes down. Peenya is a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat and the dust but the community of shops here is pretty tight. We help each other out with parts or advice when someone’s machine breaks down. It’s a practical life and we don’t spend much time worrying about how the front of the shop looks as long as the work is correct. We just keep our heads down and stay busy.
