We run avenir interior concepts over in Basaveswara Nagar, Bangalore. Our spot is at 595 on 4th Cross in the 3rd Stage University Layout. It’s a pretty quiet neighborhood compared to the rest of the city, which is nice when you’re trying to draw up furniture plans. We’ve been in this area for a bit and have seen a lot of houses go up around us. The office is basically just a few desks and a lot of catalogs from suppliers. We spend a lot of time on the phone trying to track down where our materials are. Dealing with the logistics in Bangalore can be a real headache, especially when a truck gets stuck in traffic three blocks away. We handle the basic stuff that people need to make their homes livable. It isn't about being fancy; it's about making sure the cabinets close right and the lights are in the right place. Most of our day is spent visiting sites or sitting here in the layout office. We have a small kettle for tea and that’s about the only luxury we have. Sometimes the university students walk by and look in, but mostly we just see the regular residents. We are just local workers trying to do a decent job for the folks in our part of town. It is a simple life of measuring, cutting, and installing things until the project is finally finished and we can move on to the next house.
