Auuj Ceramics

We are located at No.197 A in the Sai Arcade building in Vidyaranyapura. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the center of Bangalore, but it’s a good neighborhood. Auuj Ceramics is where we spend most of our waking hours. We have a lot of tiles and ceramic pieces on display, though they aren't always organized perfectly. Sometimes things get a bit dusty, and we have to spend the morning cleaning up. The showroom is on the ground floor, so people can just walk in from the street. We don't really do much advertising; most people just see the sign when they are heading to the market. It’s a family-run sort of thing. My cousin helps out when it gets busy. We talk to homeowners who are trying to fix up their kitchens or bathrooms. They usually have a lot of questions, and we try to answer them as best as we can based on what we’ve seen over the years. The light in Vidyaranyapura in the evenings is actually quite nice through the front windows. We close up around eight and head home. It’s not a glamorous life, but we like working with our hands and seeing the different patterns every day. Sai Arcade is a decent building, and we’ve got good neighbors who run a grocery store nearby.
