Aurobindo Vidya Mandir / Aurobindo Mahila College

We are located right behind the Dr Modi Eye Hospital in the Mahalakshmipuram neighborhood. Our place is at No. 6C on the 5th Main, in the 2nd Phase. It is a bit of a tucked-away spot, which works out well for a school and a college. We have the Vidya Mandir for the younger children and the Mahila College for the women's courses. It is a very active building with many different things happening at the same time. The structure itself is not brand new, but it has been a reliable home for our institution for a long time. We have classrooms spread out across several floors. The staff room is usually piled high with notebooks and exam papers, but we generally know where everything is kept. We do not have a lot of high-end amenities or fancy lounges. It is more about providing a simple place where people can come to do their studies. Most of the students live in the nearby streets. We see them walking down the lane every morning at the same time. It is a local operation, run by people who live nearby and care about this part of town. We handle all the registrations and the exams ourselves. Sometimes we have to do some maintenance on the roof or repaint a classroom, but we just get it done. It is not a polished office; it is just a busy, working school for the community.
