You’ll find our unit at 671/673 in the V V Ramu Estate, which is part of the Bommasandra industrial area. It’s a pretty busy place with a lot of other small factories and workshops all around us. We do manufacturing work here, so there is always some kind of noise from the machines. It’s a bit of a gritty environment, with oil and metal scraps being part of the daily scenery. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for a long time. It’s a hard-working atmosphere and we don't spend much time on fancy office work. My desk is tucked into a corner where I can keep an eye on everything that’s happening on the floor. The estate can be a bit difficult to navigate when it’s raining because of the puddles and the mud, but we are used to it by now. We don't have any big signs or advertisements. Most of our work comes from long-standing relationships with other businesses who know we can make what they need. It gets hot in the middle of the day, so we usually take a long break when the sun is at its highest. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. We’ve been at this Bommasandra location for many years and we’ve built a steady life here. We usually close up around six and head home to our families.
