Ashwini Cargo Movers

Ashwini Cargo Movers is based out of D 24 in the Yeshwantpur Industrial Suburb. We are right by the Devaraj Truck Terminal 2nd Stage, so there are always big lorries and trucks moving in and out. It is a very loud and busy area to work in. Most of our day is spent coordinating where things need to go and making sure the loaders are ready. We deal with a lot of heavy boxes and crates. It’s a bit of a rough-and-ready office, with papers everywhere and the smell of diesel from the trucks nearby. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because we are mostly out in the yard or on the phone. It can get very hot in the afternoons under the tin roof. We move stuff for people moving houses or for shops that need their stock delivered. It is hard work, and our backs often ache by the end of the week. We’ve been in Yeshwantpur for a long time and know most of the other drivers around the terminal. Sometimes things get delayed because of the highway traffic, but we just deal with it as it comes. We don't have any polished speeches about what we do. We just pack the trucks and send them on their way. It’s a basic service for people who need things moved from one place to another. We eat lunch at the small stall around the corner.
