Ashokleyland

Over in Kochi, we have this Ashokleyland branch located at Sreeshylam in the Muppathadom area of Aluva. The pin code is 683110 if you are looking for it on a map. It is a damp part of the country, especially when the monsoon hits, and the building sometimes smells a bit like rain and old concrete. Sreeshylam is a decent enough spot for us to operate from, even if it feels a bit far from the main city center sometimes. We have a lot of space out front, which is good for the vehicles and the movement of goods. I spend most of my time in the main office area, which is just a simple room with a couple of desks and a very old filing cabinet that squeaks whenever you open the bottom drawer. Aluva is a busy industrial kind of place, so there are always trucks and workers moving around Muppathadom. It isn't a glamorous job, and the office isn't decorated with anything other than a few calendars and a clock that loses five minutes every week. We just show up, do the work, and make sure everything is handled correctly. There is a small tea stall just down the road where we usually go for breaks. It is a very local way of doing things, and we don't feel the need to pretend we are some big corporate headquarters. We are just a part of the daily landscape here in Kochi.
