Our shop is down on Subramanyapura Pestom Sagar Road in Chembur, right at number 10. We’ve been working on cars here for quite a while. It’s a bit of a greasy place, as you’d expect from a garage. We have a few lifts and a lot of tools scattered around, but we generally know where everything is. People bring their vehicles in for all sorts of things, from oil changes to strange noises in the engine. We don't have a fancy waiting room with coffee. Usually, customers just stand around and talk to us while we work, or they leave the car and come back later. The road outside can get pretty jammed up, so getting cars in and out takes some patience. We aren't a big corporate service center. It’s just a few mechanics who have been doing this since we were young. We use parts that actually work and don't cost a fortune. Sometimes a repair takes longer than we thought because a bolt is rusted shut, and we have to tell the customer to wait another day. That’s just how it goes with older cars. We like the work, even when it’s hot and the fans aren't doing much. It’s an honest way to make a living, and we have regular customers who have been coming to us for years. We don't do much advertising, word of mouth seems to keep us busy enough throughout the week. It can get loud with the drills, but it is what it is.
