Ascent Tools

If you go to the Venkatamma Building in Jalahalli, you'll find us on the first floor at 70/1. That’s where Ascent Tools is based. It’s an easy enough climb up the stairs. The building is one of those typical local blocks where everyone knows each other. We deal with tools all day long. The shelves are packed with boxes and metal bits, and sometimes it's hard to find a place to sit down. We spend most of our time organizing stock or checking what’s come in. Jalahalli is a busy area, so there’s always noise from the road coming through the windows. The light in the office is a bit dim in the afternoons, but we have enough lamps. It’s not a huge space, but it fits what we need. We handle orders for different kinds of tools, mostly for local shops and builders. The walls are covered in old posters and notes we’ve scribbled to ourselves. It’s a bit messy, to be honest. We’re more worried about getting the right tool to the right person than keeping everything looking perfect. Sometimes the delivery guys have a hard time parking downstairs, but we usually manage. It’s a straightforward business. We show up, count the stock, talk to the customers, and go home. No big meetings or anything like that here. Sometimes we keep extra boxes in the hallway when a big delivery comes. It’s just us here, working through the list and making sure orders go out.
