Our shop is tucked away at 16/1 Silver Jubilee Park Road, specifically in D R Lane. If you know Bangalore, you know S J P Road is one of the busiest places to be, especially if you’re looking for industrial parts. We deal with bearings all day long. The shelves are packed from floor to ceiling with boxes of all sizes, and honestly, it’s a bit of a maze back there. It gets very dusty because of all the traffic and the old buildings around us. We usually have the radio playing in the background to drown out the sound of the horns outside. Customers come in looking for very specific sizes, and we spend a lot of time climbing ladders to find exactly what they need. It’s a lot of manual work, moving heavy crates and checking part numbers against old catalogs. We’ve been in this lane for a long time, and we know most of the other shop owners nearby. We usually share tea in the afternoons when there’s a small lull in the crowd. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late because the trucks can’t get through the narrow lanes, but we just wait it out. It’s not a glamorous job, but bearings are important for everything, and we know our stock well. You have to navigate the crowds to reach us at 16/1, but we are always here from morning until the shutters go down.
