Our office is tucked away in Jayanagar III Block, near Jadhavwadi. It’s a pretty standard setup with desks and computers showing all those numbers that keep moving all day long. We’ve been sitting in this same spot for a good number of years. It’s not like those big corporate places you see on TV. Usually, it is just us and a few regulars who come in to check how things are going with their accounts. The phones ring quite a bit, especially when the markets are doing something strange. We keep a pot of tea going and try to stay on top of the paperwork, which never seems to end. Jayanagar is a nice area, quite leafy and calm compared to the rest of the city, though the parking can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We don’t have any big speeches to give about what we do. It’s just stocks and shares, and trying to make sense of the news every morning. Sometimes the internet acts up and we all have a bit of a panic, but mostly it is just a quiet routine. We know most of the people who walk through the door by name. It feels more like a neighborhood spot than a financial firm, which is fine by us. We just show up, do the trades, and go home when the market closes.
