About Aravind Mani Ceramic – Housewares & Supplies in Bengaluru
We've been here on Bangalore Road for a good while now, right near the old Raja Theater. Most days start early before the traffic picks up. We mostly deal with ceramic stuff, things people need for their houses. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of all the tiles and pieces we keep in the back. Customers usually find us because of the theater landmark, though that place isn't what it used to be. My brother and I manage the loading and unloading. Sometimes the boxes are heavy and we have to be careful not to chip the edges. It’s just how things go. The shop isn't fancy. We have some shelves with samples and a small desk where we handle the bills. People from the neighborhood stop in to ask about bathroom fittings or floor tiles. We just show them what’s in stock. If we don’t have it, we tell them. There’s a tea stall just a few doors down where we go when it’s quiet. Bangalore Road gets busy in the afternoons, so that’s when most people come by. We try to keep things organized but with all the ceramic pieces, it gets messy. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything. We just keep at it day by day. Nothing too complicated about it. We’ve seen many shops come and go around here, but we’re still at number 64. Just a local spot for people looking for ceramics.
