You can find Amrit Auto Stores at number 12 on the 3rd Cross in Journalist Colony, right off the busy J C Road. It is a well-known area for anything related to cars and bikes. Our shop is one of those places where you might have to squeeze past a stack of tires or some heavy boxes of spare parts to get to the main counter. We’ve been here long enough that we know all the quirks of this building and which light switches are a bit finicky in the morning. Most of our days are spent talking to people about engine parts or looking through thick catalogs to find a specific part number. It’s not a glamorous job at all, but it is what we know and we've been doing it a while. We get a lot of regulars who stop by just to see what’s new or to ask for advice on a repair they are doing themselves at home. The air inside usually smells a bit like rubber and old oil, which is pretty much what you’d expect from an auto store. We don't have a big marketing department or any fancy advertisements. It's just a small shop where we try to be helpful and keep the shelves stocked with what people actually need. Sometimes the phone rings and it’s just someone asking for directions to another street, and we help with that too. It is just a normal, everyday part of life here on J C Road. We close up when the street lights come on.
