Our spot is tucked away on the Vidyapeetham University Campus in the Carmelaram area. It’s a big enough place that you might get a bit lost if it's your first time visiting us. There are several buildings scattered around, mostly filled with students working on projects or sitting in the labs. Being part of the larger campus means there is always something going on, but our engineering section has its own rhythm. The walk from the main gate takes a few minutes, and you’ll pass a lot of trees along the way. Carmelaram is a bit quieter than the center of the city, which is nice when you need to concentrate on a difficult problem. The labs are usually full of equipment that the students use for their practical work. It’s not always perfectly tidy because people are always building things or testing out new ideas. We see a lot of young people coming through here from different parts of the country. They spend a lot of time in the library or just sitting on the benches outside between their classes. The cafeteria is where everyone ends up around noon. It’s a busy place, but it feels like home to those of us who spend our whole day here. We don't make a big fuss about things, we just make sure the schedules are followed and the labs stay open. It’s just a place for learning and getting things done without too much distraction.
