ALPHA-IMAGER is located over in HAL 3rd Stage, on 2nd Main. It’s 2711, a number we’ve had for quite some time now. This neighborhood has changed a lot since we first moved in. There used to be more trees and fewer cars, but that’s how things go. Our office is a mix of old furniture and some newer imaging equipment that we use for work. It’s not a very big place, so we have to be careful not to trip over the cables on the floor. We deal with images and technical stuff, but we aren't scientists. We’re just people who learned how to use the gear and now we do it every day. The light in the office is a bit dim because we have to keep the sun off the screens. It makes it feel a bit like a cave sometimes, but it’s quiet. We don't have a dress code or anything. Most of us just wear whatever is comfortable. We spend the mornings checking the files and the afternoons doing the actual imaging work. If the printer breaks, one of us usually tries to fix it before we call anyone else. It’s that kind of place. We just get on with it and try to stay out of the way of the traffic on the main road. The day ends when the work is finished, and we usually leave together.
