Alan Thilak Taichi Academy

The academy is located at 105 Kundalahalli on the 80 Feet Road. We are in the RMV 2nd Stage area, specifically inside the Parimala Winsome Apparments complex. It is quite easy to find since we are right near the Reliance Fresh store that everyone uses for their groceries. We have been teaching Taichi here for some time. The space in the apartment complex is where we gather for our sessions. Being on the 80 Feet Road means there is always a lot of traffic nearby, but once you are inside the gates, it gets a bit quieter. We see people of all ages coming in to learn the movements. I spend a lot of time showing folks how to balance and move slowly. It’s a different kind of work compared to the shops around us. We have classes in the mornings when it is a bit cooler and again in the evenings after people get back from their jobs. The Reliance Fresh landmark helps new people find us without getting lost in the RMV area. We don't have big signs or anything, just the space where we practice. Sometimes the apartment residents watch us while they are walking their dogs. It’s a very local feel, just a group of people doing their exercises in a shared space. We focus on the practice and don't worry too much about the busy city life outside the gates.
