Akbar Chain Block Works

Akbar Chain Block Works is our small business located at 557 Krishnarajapuram. We are right on the Old Madras Main Road, directly opposite the Union Bank. It is a prime spot because everyone knows where the bank is, so we don't have to give long directions. We deal with chain blocks and all sorts of related lifting gear. It’s heavy work, and our shop is filled with chains of all sizes hanging from the ceiling and piled up on the floor in corners. It can look a bit messy to someone who isn't used to an industrial shop, but we know exactly where every piece of equipment is. The noise of the traffic on Old Madras Road is constant, but you get used to it after a few days of working here. We spend a lot of our time inspecting chains, repairing old blocks, and helping people figure out what kind of lifting capacity they need for their specific job. We aren't big on fancy marketing or any of that. Most of our customers come to us because they’ve heard about us from someone else or they just saw our sign while driving past in their trucks. We like to keep things simple and honest. If a chain is worn out and can't be fixed safely, we tell the customer straight. Safety is a big thing in our line of work, even if the shop itself looks a bit old-fashioned and worn. We’ve been here for many years and have built up a good relationship with the local drivers. It’s just us and some hard work.
