Agra Trading Company

Agra Trading Company is located at 48/B in Mathikere. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the other side of town, but we’ve been here for a long time. The office is just a small room with a couple of old desks and a lot of folders. We don't have any decorations on the walls, just a calendar from a few years ago that we never took down. We spend most of our time on the phone or checking the inventory in the back room. It’s not a glamorous job at all. We just move goods from one place to another. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and we have to wait around for hours, but that's just how it goes in this business. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have worked together for ages. We know each other's habits and how we like our tea. We don't bother with fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just want to get through the day's work and make sure everyone gets what they ordered without any trouble. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it's quite quiet in the evenings. We usually lock up around six and head home to our families. It’s a basic operation, nothing special to look at, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. We've been at it for years and plan to stay for many more. That's our story.
