Over at Banashankari, on the 100 Feet Ring Road, you’ll find Adiga Automotives. Our place is at 75/1 in Hosakerehalli. Being on the Ring Road means there’s never a quiet moment. Cars and trucks are flying past all day long. We deal with auto parts and fixing up vehicles that have seen better days. The floor of the shop is usually covered in some oil spots, no matter how much we try to scrub it clean. It’s just the nature of the work. We have tools hanging on the walls and spare parts tucked into every corner we can find. Sometimes someone brings in a car that’s making a strange sound, and we spend hours just listening and poking around to find the problem. It’s a lot of manual labor, getting under the hood and getting your hands dirty. We don't have a waiting room with a TV or anything like that. People usually just stand around or go get a coffee nearby while we work. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going at full speed. We’ve been here long enough that the local drivers know us by name. It’s just about getting the vehicles back on the road so people can get where they’re going. It’s tiring work, but there’s a certain satisfaction when an engine finally starts running smoothly again.
