Action Times

Action Times is situated on Kanakanagar Jumma Masjid Road. Being near the Masjid means the area is always lively, especially on Fridays when everyone is out. Our shop isn't very large, but it’s packed with whatever we’re working on at the moment. The road is narrow and there are always people walking by, so we see a lot of the local life from our doorway. We don't have a big corporate team; it’s just a few of us. We handle the daily tasks as they come. Sometimes it’s busy and we’re running around trying to catch up, and other times we’re just sitting on stools waiting for the next person to come in. The building is old, with high ceilings that keep it somewhat cool even in the summer. We don't have air conditioning, just the breeze from the street when the door is open. There’s a constant sound of scooters and vendors calling out. We’ve got a routine that works for us. We open up at the same time every morning and start checking the list of things to do. It’s a simple business on a busy street. We don't spend money on advertising or anything fancy like that. Most of our regulars just know the name Action Times and where we are on Jumma Masjid Road. It’s a comfortable place to be, and we like the rhythm of this neighborhood.
