Our college is located in Sodevanahalli, which is a bit of a drive out from the main center of Bengaluru. If you come here, you will notice the big gates and the students hanging out near the entrance between their classes. It’s a pharmacy college, so there is a lot of talk about chemistry and medicines all day long. The labs are the busiest parts of the building, full of glass jars, scales, and students trying not to spill anything. It’s not always perfectly quiet; there is usually someone dragging a chair or the sound of the equipment running. We have a library that stays pretty full, especially when the internal exams are coming up. The campus has some trees and spots to sit, but most people are busy rushing from one lecture to another. The weather in Bangalore is usually good, which helps because the walk between the different blocks can be long. We have our own canteen that serves the usual stuff like dosa and coffee, and it’s usually the loudest place on the grounds. Sometimes the internet is slow or a lab machine breaks down, and we have to wait a week for the repair guy to show up. It’s just a regular college life here, with everyone focused on getting their degrees and moving on to their jobs in the city or elsewhere. We don't try to be something we aren't; it's just a place for study.
