Our office is way up on the 21st floor of the World Trade Centre. It is located on Dr. Raj Kumar Road in Malleshwaram West. Being in such a tall building means we spend a fair bit of time waiting for the elevators, especially during the morning rush. The view from up here is something else, you can see quite a lot of the city, which is a nice distraction when you need a break from the screen. Even though we are part of a big name like ABB, the daily life in the office is pretty standard. We have our cubicles, the shared printers that sometimes jam, and a break room where the coffee is just okay. Malleshwaram is a great neighborhood to be in, even if we are tucked away in this modern tower. There is a lot of history in the streets below us. Most of us take the metro or drive in through the traffic on Raj Kumar Road. It’s a professional environment, but we try to keep things friendly among the staff. We spend a lot of time in meetings or on the phone with other branches. It’s a lot of coordination and technical talk throughout the day. When the day is done, we join the crowd heading back down to the ground level and into the Bangalore traffic. It’s just how things go here at the World Trade Centre.
