A S Machine Tools & Spares Peenya

Our shop is Shop No.5 in the Peenya Industrial Estate, over in the 1st Stage. We’re quite close to the TVS Cross, which makes it easy for people to give directions. A S Machine Tools & Spares has been operating out of this small space for years. Peenya is a huge industrial area, so there’s always someone looking for a specific spare part or a tool they can’t find anywhere else. Our shelves are pretty cramped with metal parts and heavy boxes. It’s not the cleanest place, but it’s an industrial shop, so that’s expected. We spend most of our mornings unloading stuff and our afternoons helping mechanics and factory workers. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. If we don't have something, we usually know where to find it. The area is quite noisy with all the machinery nearby, but we like being in the middle of all that activity. It feels like things are actually getting built around here. We aren't interested in being a big corporation. We just want to keep the shop running and make sure the local guys have what they need to get their jobs finished. It's practical work and we’re glad to be a small part of this industrial community. There’s a lot of grease and noise, but it’s real work and we enjoy it more than sitting in an office.
