A M S Power Tools & Eleectricals is tucked away in the V I Complex on Benson Cross Road. The address is 9 Dr. Shivarama Karanth Nagar, which sounds a bit formal, but the shop itself is quite down-to-earth. We have a lot of heavy boxes and wires everywhere you look. It’s the kind of place where you might get a bit of grease on your hands if you start digging through the shelves. We sell drills, saws, and all the electrical bits that contractors or DIY folks need. The complex is usually buzzing with people coming and going. I’ve spent many years here, learning which tools last and which ones are just trouble. It’s a small team, mostly just us and a couple of helpers who know where everything is hidden. The light in the back of the shop isn't great, but we know the inventory by heart. On rainy days, the water tends to pool a bit near the entrance of the complex, but we just put down some mats and keep going. We don’t spend money on fancy brochures. If you need a specific motor or a switch, you just come to Benson Cross Road and ask. We’ve seen the neighborhood change as more people move into Dr. Shivarama Karanth Nagar, but the demand for good electrical stuff never really stops. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside sometimes, but we make it work.
