You can find us at Number 86 on 2nd Main Road in Nanjappa Layout. Being in Vidyaranyapura means we’re tucked away in a quiet residential area of Bangalore, but inside the doors of Grainnest Spices, things are usually moving quite fast. We deal with all kinds of spices all day long. The smell is so strong it usually sticks to your clothes and hair by the time you head home in the evening. It’s an OPC company, so it’s a small, personal operation here in the city. We spend our time checking batches, weighing things out on the scales, and packing them up into bags. The 3rd A Cross is where we do all the heavy lifting and loading. It isn't a massive warehouse or anything corporate, just a practical setup for getting our spices ready for customers. We started this because we know how much people around here care about what goes into their daily cooking. It’s a lot of dust and bags of raw ingredients sitting everywhere on the floor. Some days the Bangalore humidity makes things a bit tricky for the powders, but we manage to get through it. We aren’t big on fancy titles or having long meetings. Most of the day is spent on the work floor or talking to the folks who bring us the raw materials. We like being part of the Bangalore food scene in our own small way. It’s hard work, especially when the orders pile up at the end of the month, but we like seeing the finished packets go out the door. It feels good to know we are doing something useful.
