Coconut And Agri Processing Transgender, Women Federation
About Coconut And Agri Processing Transgender, Women Federation – Agriculture & Farming in Bengaluru Urban
We are located down at No.22 in the Kasaba area of Vaddara halli, which is right in Ramanagaram. It’s not a big fancy office or anything like that, just a regular workspace where we get things done every day. Our group is mostly made up of women and members of the transgender community from around here. We spend most of our hours dealing with coconuts and other farm stuff that comes in from the local fields. It gets pretty busy when the harvests are ready. Usually, you’ll find a few of us sitting together sorting through things or talking about the next batch of processing we need to finish. The building itself is quite simple, and it fits right into the neighborhood. We don’t really have a big corporate setup. It’s more about the people who show up every morning to work. Some days the weather is quite hot, especially in this part of Karnataka, but we just keep at it. People from the village know where to find us if they have crops to move or if they want to see how the processing is going. We’ve been at this for a while now, just focusing on the agri-work and making sure everyone in our federation has something to do. It’s a practical way to live, and it keeps us connected to the land around Ramanagaram. There’s always a lot of chatter and the smell of fresh produce around the yard when we are in the middle of a big job.
