We are based in Ranebennur, which is in the Haveri district of Karnataka. Our specific location is RS NO 822/2B, Plot No 55. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but it is a good spot for biotech work related to agriculture. The plot is spacious and we have enough room for what we need to do. Ranebennur is known for its seeds and farming, so we fit right in. The office is a simple structure on the plot. We spend our time looking at samples and keeping records of our tests. It’s quiet out here compared to the big cities, which helps us focus. The weather in Haveri can be unpredictable, but the soil around here is great. We have a small group of people working here, and most of us have been in the agro field for a long time. We don’t go for any of that fancy corporate talk. We just call things like they are. If a test doesn’t work, we start over. The daily routine is pretty much the same—get in early, check the samples, and talk to the guys in the field. We take our breaks under the shade when it’s too hot. It is a practical life and we like being close to the actual farms. Being at Plot 55 gives us the space we need to grow. We started this because we wanted to do something real in our own local area. It takes a lot of patience. Sometimes the work is slow but we keep at it anyway. Every day is different.
