Miki Steel Works Pvt. Ltd. is out here in the Attibele industrial area at No. 21 C D. It’s a busy spot most of the time. Most days start pretty early when the trucks come in. There’s always a lot of noise from the machines running in the back. We handle a lot of steel parts and fabrication. It gets dusty and hot in the workshop, but that’s just how it goes with this kind of work. We’ve been at this same address for quite a while now. Some of the guys have worked here since the doors first opened. We just get on with the job day by day. People come by asking about specific parts or looking for custom metal work. We show them what we have going on. It isn’t a fancy office by any means. There is usually some grease on the floor and metal scraps in the corners of the yard. You can find us right near the post office if you are looking. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon and we just have to wait it out. We talk about the weather or how bad the traffic was on the way in. It’s a long commute for some of us. We try to keep things organized but it’s a big space to manage alone. The yard usually has stacks of beams waiting to be moved out. We just keep the machines running and the orders moving.
