Shashiraj Cnc Works

Our workshop is situated at Plot No. C-69 in the Industrial Estate of Udyambag. It’s a decent-sized plot where we keep our CNC machines running through most of the daylight hours. Udyambag is a known hub for this kind of work in Belgaum, so we are surrounded by people doing similar things. The floor is mostly concrete and covered in metal shavings by the time noon rolls around. We spend a lot of time staring at screens and adjusting the settings on the machines to make sure the cuts are where they need to be. It’s quiet work in some ways, but the hum of the cooling fans is always there in the background. We don’t have a big fancy sign out front, just the name and the address so people can find us. Our staff doesn't wear uniforms; they just wear clothes they don't mind getting a bit oily. We take our lunch breaks together, often sitting on stools near the entrance to catch a bit of a breeze. The weather here can get quite damp during the monsoon, which means we have to be extra careful with the metal to keep it from rusting. We’ve been at this for a good number of years now, and the routine hasn't changed much. We get the drawings, we set the machines, and we produce the parts. That is the long and short of what goes on here at Shashiraj Cnc Works every day of the week.
