Maimobile Services is located on Samadevi Galli. If you’ve ever walked down this lane, you know it’s a really narrow street that stays pretty packed with people and scooters all day long. Our shop is right in the middle of all that noise. We mainly focus on fixing mobile phones and selling some basic things like chargers and those plastic screen protectors. The front of the shop has a glass display case that’s a bit scratched up from years of use, but it does the job. Behind it is where the real work happens. We have a couple of small benches with magnifying lamps and soldering irons. There are always half-disassembled phones lying around on blue mats. It’s a bit of a messy job, especially when you’re dealing with those tiny screws that like to bounce away and get lost on the floor. People usually come to us when they’ve dropped their phone on the pavement or when the battery just won’t hold a charge anymore. We try to get things fixed as fast as we can, but sometimes we have to wait a few days for a specific part to arrive by courier. The shop can get quite cramped when more than two or three people are inside at once, so customers often just hang out in the galli and chat. It’s a loud place because of the constant horns, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't do any big advertising. People find us by walking past.
