Krishna Sugars

Krishna Sugars is situated right on S H 31 in Athani, specifically in the Sankonatti area. Being on a state highway means there is never a moment of peace from the traffic. You have cars and heavy trucks zooming past at all hours. Our building sits right on the edge of the road at the address we've had for decades. It is a dusty place because of all the vehicles kicking up dirt from the shoulder of the highway. We spend most of our time out in the loading area or sitting at the cramped desks inside. The work is mostly about the sugar trade, which means a lot of lifting and counting bags. It is physically demanding and we are usually pretty tired by the end of the day. We don't have any decorative plants or nice paintings on the walls. It is a functional space meant for work and nothing else. We drink a lot of water because of the heat and the dust. The local workers from Sankonatti are the ones who keep this place going. We all know each other well and there is a lot of joking around to keep the mood light when the work gets tough. We don't have a big mission or any corporate goals. We just want to get the work done right and go home to our families. If you are driving on S H 31, you will see our gate with the faded sign. We don't bother much with the looks of the place.
