Aakash Medical & General Stores

You can find us on the 5th Cross in Azam Nagar, right near the General Hospital. Aakash Medical & General Stores is a busy little place because of where we are located. There are always people walking by on their way to the hospital or coming back home. The shop is filled with a bit of everything, not just medicines. We have got soaps, snacks, and all the regular things people might need in a hurry. It gets a bit crowded inside when more than a few people are standing at the counter, but we have learned how to move around each other in the small space. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling, so we have to keep a small ladder nearby to reach the top rows. Sometimes the street out front gets blocked by parked cars or delivery trucks, which can make things a bit chaotic for a while. We have a couple of chairs tucked in the back where we take turns sitting down for a quick break. It has a very local feel here. We know most of the people who live on the nearby streets by their first names. We do not have a website or any big marketing plans to speak of. We just open up early in the morning and stay late until the last few customers are gone. The lighting inside is a bit bright, but it helps us see the small print on the labels. We just try to keep things moving and make sure people get what they are looking for.
