Raja Store

Raja Store is over in Ward No- 34, right on the Main Road in Sarvodaya Nagar. We are situated near Hira Lal Chowk, which is a very busy intersection with people always crossing and bikes zooming past. Our store is a place where locals stop by for their daily needs. We have all the usual stuff you’d expect to find in a neighborhood shop. It’s often busy in the mornings when people are heading to work and again in the evenings when they are coming back home. We know a lot of the families in Sarvodaya Nagar because they’ve been coming to us for a long time. The shelves are packed with groceries and small household items. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when three or four people are in the shop at once. We don't have a lot of help, so we do everything ourselves, from stocking the bags to sweeping the front step. The noise from Hira Lal Chowk is just background sound to us now. Sometimes we have to shout a bit to be heard over the honking cars. It’s a local life, and we like being right in the middle of everything. We don't have any big signs or advertisements; people just know we’re here on the corner. The shop has been here for years and we just keep it going as best as we can. Every day is different depending on who walks in.
