Pooja Bricks Industries

Pooja Bricks Industries is located over in Ward Number 15, right in the New Colony part of Itwa. We are quite close to the DAV School, so every morning and afternoon, we hear the kids shouting and the school bells ringing. It’s a nice change from the sound of the brick-making machines. The yard is usually full of red bricks and stacks of raw material. Etwa Nagar is a growing place, so there’s always someone building a new room or a wall nearby. The ground here can get real messy when the monsoon hits, turning the red dirt into thick mud that sticks to everything. We have to be careful with the stacks so they don't tip over on the soft ground. My family has been around this area for a long time. We mostly just focus on getting the firing done and making sure the trucks can get into the narrow lane of the colony. It’s a tight squeeze sometimes near the school gate. We don't have a big team, just a few local guys who know the work well. Most days, we’re just out there in the yard, checking the kilns and making sure the bricks are drying right. It’s a lot of manual labor, picking them up and moving them one by one. You get used to the weight after a while. If you're looking for us, just head toward the school and look for the tall stacks sitting near the entrance of the ward.
