Mayur Brick Supplier

Up here in Upali, we spend most of our days out in the yard. It’s a quiet spot near Pandharwadi, and we’ve been at this for a while now. The sun gets pretty hot out here in Wadwani Taluka, but the work has to happen regardless of the weather. We usually start early in the morning before the heat really kicks in. Trucks come and go from the post office area, and there’s always a lot of dust flying around when we move the bricks. It’s not fancy work, but it keeps us busy. Sometimes the rain slows things down and we have to cover everything up with plastic sheets. My hands are usually covered in red dust by lunch time. We see a lot of the same faces from around the district. People stop by to check what we have in stock. We just stack the bricks and wait for the next load to go out. There isn't much else to it. It’s just how things go here. The yard is right by the road, so it’s easy for people to find us if they’re heading towards the main village. We try to keep things organized, but when it’s busy, the stacks get a bit messy. That’s just part of the job I guess. Mostly we just focus on getting through the day’s orders and making sure the counts are right before the trucks leave. We don't have a big office or anything, just a small place to sit.
