You’ll find J K Computers right where Beawer Road meets College Road. It’s a prime spot because there are always students and locals passing by. Our shop and office space isn’t very large, but we’ve managed to fit a lot into it. We have shelves lined with parts and some desks in the back where the actual work happens. The front of the place is usually where we talk to people coming in. Because we’re near the college, there’s a lot of energy in the area, especially during the day. The noise from the traffic on Beawer Road is constant, but you stop noticing it after the first hour. We have a small bench outside where people sometimes wait. Inside, the floor is concrete, and we have some basic fluorescent lights that do the job. We don’t have a fancy showroom; it’s more of a workshop feel. There’s always a pile of hardware somewhere waiting to be looked at. We drink a lot of tea from the vendor across the street who brings it over in small glass cups. It’s a simple life here. We open up early and usually stay until the sun goes down and the streetlights come on. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to get around to it. It’s a hardworking little place that serves the local area well and keeps us busy every single day.
