Gaurav Marbles

Our place, Gaurav Marbles, is in Villageat Post Beawar, within the Beawar Tehsil of Ajmer district. We are situated right near the Mata Mandir, which makes it easy to tell people how to find us. It’s a quiet area compared to the big industrial hubs, and we’ve been here for a long time. Many of the families around here know us by name. We mostly handle marble that comes from the mines nearby in the Ajmer region. It is a small operation, mostly run by family and a few workers who have been with us forever. We don’t have a website or any fancy marketing. We just have our yard and the cutting machines that we use every day. Sometimes the power goes out in the village and everything stops, so we just sit and wait until it comes back on. That’s just life in Beawar. People come by, look at the different shades of stone we have, and we talk about the price over a cup of tea. We don't try to push anyone into buying. If they like a particular slab, they take it. We help them get it loaded up. The stone business is hard on your body, but it has been our livelihood for years. We spend our days surrounded by these heavy slabs of white and grey. It gets noisy when the saws are running, but it’s a sound we like to hear because it means we are working.
