Sanghat Khurd Primary Scool

Sanghat Khurd Primary School is a small place in the heart of Sangat Khurd, near Bhatinda. It’s where the youngest kids in the village start their journey. We only have a few rooms and a small open area where the children play. It’s a very local setup. In the mornings, you can see the parents dropping off their kids before they head out to the fields. We follow the state curriculum, but a lot of our day is just about making sure the children are safe, fed, and learning their letters and numbers. The mid-day meal is a big part of our routine; the smell of lentils cooking often fills the hallway around noon. The building is simple, and we do our best to keep it clean, though the Punjab dust is persistent. We have a few teachers who handle multiple classes at once, which can be a bit of a juggle, but they are used to it. There’s no fancy playground equipment, just some space to run and maybe a ball to kick around. Life here is slow and follows the seasons. When it’s harvest time, attendance might drop a bit, but we understand how it is in a rural area. We aren't a big institution, just a small village school trying to make sure every child here knows how to read and write properly.
