Infratech Engineers

Infratech Engineers is located right opposite the railway station in Raman. Being so close to the tracks means we hear the trains coming and going all day long, which you just get used to after a week or so. Our workshop is usually filled with the sound of tools and guys talking over each other to get things done. It’s a practical space, not some corporate office with glass walls. We have desks cluttered with drawings and parts laying around on the benches. It’s where we do the actual work. Raman is a small enough place where people know who we are if they need something fixed or built. We’ve got a few old fans that hum in the summer and a tea stall nearby that keeps us going. The floor is concrete and has some oil stains, but that’s just how engineering shops look when they’re actually being used. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we really have to. Most of the day is spent handling materials or checking measurements. Sometimes customers come in just to ask a quick question or check on their orders. We don't have a fancy waiting area, just a couple of stools if someone needs to sit down for a minute. It’s a straightforward setup here. We open up early and usually stay until the light starts to go. It’s honest work and we just keep at it every single day without much fuss.
